These Birth Months Can Never Finish A Book

Have you ever started a book with the best intentions, only to find it collecting dust on your nightstand weeks later? Research suggests that curiosity, attention span, personality, and even the excitement of discovering something new can all influence whether we finish what we start. While everyone has abandoned a book at some point, some birth months may be especially prone to jumping to the next exciting read before reaching the final page.

Keep reading to see if your birth month made the list and what your reading habits might reveal about you.

June

You’re probably a major bookworm yourself. You’re always finding a new hobby or topic that interests you, and, true to your birth month, you want to learn more about it right away. The only problem is that your constant curiosity is always pushing you towards new subjects, not forcing you to finish what you’ve started on old ones. You might furiously dedicate yourself towards one new subject in a particular week and then randomly drop it for something completely different on a whim. That’s definitely not a bad thing, but it does make summing up your Goodreads each year a bit challenging – do you think you can count two half-read books as one?

December

Those born in December are very wise, love to read, and are even likely to be interested in philosophy. You actually do have long periods where you can get lucky and finish everything that you’ve started, but, as a type who’s always looking for a new adventure, you often struggle to finish what you’re reading. Sometimes you lose interest partway through and sometimes you accidentally put a book down only to never get around to finishing it again. You also often leave books for so long that you can’t remember what they were about by the time you get back around to them again. It’s just a result of your spontaneity.

February

With a quirky personality and set interests, it might seem a little surprising for others to hear that you sometimes can’t finish reading a book that you’ve put down. But you tend to be very focused on your work and physical passions, which means that reading sometimes falls to the very end of your to-do list. You also tend to pick longer and more complex works, which means that you have to dedicate more time out of your day to read them. Additionally, you might be the kind of sign who picks a book based on a specific piece of information you want to learn from it – and once you’ve hit that chapter, you’re done reading. You’re known to be a quirky sign, so you likely have a hefty collection of intriguing titles, but that doesn’t mean you’ve made your way through them all just yet.
