Aries

Your Card: Knight of Wands

Today is about taking calculated risks, Aries. Today is about taking chances but not being stupid about it. It’s about taking that leap of faith, but also having a plan b if things don’t go according to that plan. Give yourself the freedom and space to grow but also don’t set yourself up for failure through lack of foresight and planning. Basically, you wanna keep your head in the clouds with your feet firmly on the ground.

Taurus

Your Card: The Empress

Many people around you look at you and see a place of warmth, comfort, and safety. You mean a lot to a lot of people, Taurus. And though you can’t always see the positive effects that you have on others, The Empress indicates that not only is it there, but today of all days you may be unintentionally acting as a nurturing and guiding light for someone who needs it. You have a much more powerful effect on others than you realize.

Gemini

Your Card: The Sun

Don’t overestimate your abilities today, Gemini. Today you want to play it safe. Just for today, however. When I pulled The Sun tarot card, the image of Icarus flying too close to the sun thus causing his wings to melt and him to fall from the sky, came to mind. While we live in a culture that instills us with the belief that nothing is impossible and nothing is unattainable, the myth of Icarus is a warning of what happens when one goes too far with this ideal. There is a difference between someone who overcomes adversity and someone who is simply just reckless.

Cancer

Your Card: Three of Pentacles

Do the right thing today, even if no one is looking or there to witness it, Cancer. Many people misunderstand what it means to have integrity. It’s not about looking for acknowledgement. It’s about doing good for the sake of doing good. And bear in mind, that for every deed that you do, whether good or bad, you get it back times three. The “Rule of Three” is what came to mind when I pulled the Three of Pentacles. Whatever you put out into the material world, you get back times three.

Your Card: Nine of Wands

People seem to think of happiness as this consistent state of being once we accomplish our goals and live the ideal life we have dreamed of. This is the illusion. The Nine of Wands not only represents the determination required to overcome challenges and persevere until we finally see that light at the end of the tunnel, but it is also a reminder that no matter what, there will always be that next hurdle to overcome. There will always be another unexpected challenge that tests us and pushes us. It’s naive to think that at some point the fight stops. We have to always keep fighting but this shouldn’t discourage you, Leo. Instead, it should invigorate you. Because a life without challenges is a life without growth or change.

Virgo

Your Card: Ace of Wands

This is only the beginning for you, Virgo. You seem to think that you’re ending some sort of chapter in your life and entering the next. And while certain bookends are nearing completion, the Ace of Wands indicates that this is only the beginning.

We all have our bad moments, Libra. Sometimes when we’re in the heat of the moment, it’s hard for us to see things clearly or react in the best way. That’s okay. What matters is how you choose to correct this moving forward. Give yourself some grace, take a second to reflect, learn from this, and do what you can to mend things moving forward. It takes a lifetime for us to truly understand ourselves. We’re always learning and growing and making mistakes and learning and growing again.

If it’s any consolation, the things that you are most stressed about or worried about right in this moment, won’t matter in the near future. At some point, you’ll even forget this was an area of contention in your life. I don’t say that to minimize your feelings or what you’re going through. I’m only saying this so that you can take a breath of relief and move forward knowing that things will be resolved and that you will overcome this.

You know what the truth is, Sagittarius. You just don’t want to admit it to yourself. But there’s validity to what they say in this context. The truth will set you free. Perhaps this is in context to someone in your life who deep down inside you sense is no good for you, yet your emotional attachment is making it hard for you to let go. It might not be about a person in your life but maybe a particular situation you’re in. Whatever reality you’re afraid to face, find peace in knowing that accepting it will be much better than existing in this false reality.

Capricorn

Though others may be seeing you as rather anti-social lately, don’t let their opinions get to you. If anything, The Hermit card suggests that solitude is exactly what you need right now. You’re not missing out on anything, so don’t let anyone try and guilt you with that excuse. There will be PLENTY of opportunities later on for you to go out, socialize, explore, and have adventures. But for right now, take advantage of this space. It is meant to help you better understand yourself and what your intuition is telling you by gaining a clearer sense of self. Once this period of solitude ends, you’ll be able to re-enter the world feeling transformed and energized with a fresh perspective on what is next for you in life.
