Primer is incredible. I’ve watched it with one of the full timeline flowcharts in front of me and it was still hard to follow. I’m amazed that there is a consistent thread throughout all of that.

The Truman Show (1998)

I think The Truman Show is a fun example of this idea inverted. We KNOW as an audience that the character’s paranoia about the nature of his reality is justified. But will he discover the truth? That’s a different sort of dramatic tension than we usually get from the reality-crumbling genre.
